How to water your plants

Plants are a great way to spruce up any room and add some life, but they can be tricky to take care of if you’ve never done it before. Watering is probably the most important part of plant care, so we’re going to start there. Here are some tips on how to water your plants properly.

  1. Check the soil before you water. The best way to know if your plant needs water is to stick your finger in the soil. If it feels dry several inches down, it’s time to water. If it feels moist, wait a few days and check again.
  2. Make sure you’re using room-temperature water. Cold water can shock the roots and make them susceptible to disease. (If you don’t have room-temperature water, just let the water sit out for a while before watering.)
  3. Water slowly and evenly until the soil is saturated bird of paradise and water is coming out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. This will help ensure that all of the roots are getting watered, not just the ones near the surface.
  4. After watering, empty out any saucers or trays that are underneath the pots to prevent root rot.
  5. Done! Now just sit back and enjoy your beautiful plants.

Conclusion:
